ResultsHQ – Common Questions

ResultsHQ – Common Questions

Have a question about your athlete’s results? Below are answers to the most common questions about ResultsHQ and our Friday Night Competition results.

Why did my athlete win their race but ResultsHQ shows a lower placing?

ResultsHQ displays the overall placings for the entire age group, not just the individual race or heat.

This can happen when:

  • The event was run in multiple heats.
  • A large age group was divided into separate groups.
  • Split age groups competed across multiple heats.

Overall placings are determined by comparing all official performances from every heat.

I timed my athlete differently. Why doesn’t it match ResultsHQ?

Only the official times recorded by our Centre Timekeepers can be entered into ResultsHQ.

Each competition track has designated Timekeepers who use the same timing procedures for every race to ensure consistency and fairness.

My athlete jumped or threw further than the distance recorded.

Field event results are recorded by the Age Manager and volunteer parents during competition.

Measurements are read aloud and checked before being recorded to minimise errors. If you believe a mistake has been made, please contact us so we can review the event records.

I think my athlete broke a Club Record. Why hasn’t it been recognised?

All Club Records must be officially verified before they can be recognised.

Field Events

  • A Committee Member must be called to verify and measure the performance before the event concludes.

Track Events

  • The performance must be confirmed and signed by the official Timekeeper.

Records cannot be approved without this verification process.

Why can’t I see results from my athlete’s Trial Nights?

Trial athletes do not appear in ResultsHQ.

Results can only be uploaded once an athlete has completed registration and has an official registration number issued through Little Athletics NSW. Unfortunately, trial performances cannot be added retrospectively.

This is also outlined in the Trial Registration Terms and Conditions.

I can’t log in to ResultsHQ

Use the same email address that was used when registering your athlete online for the current season.

If you no longer have access to that email address or continue to experience problems, please contact us and we will help resolve the issue.

When should I activate my ResultsHQ account?

As soon as possible.

Once your account is set up you can:

  • View weekly competition results.
  • Track Personal Best (PB) performances throughout the season.
  • Access results if your school requests evidence for school athletics carnivals or sporting applications.

Setting up your account early avoids delays when you need your results later in the year.

How long does it take for results to appear?

Results are entered manually by our volunteer Results Team.

Results are generally available by the middle of the following week, however this may take a little longer during busy periods such as championship weekends or when volunteers have work and family commitments. We appreciate your patience.

I think there is an error with my athlete’s results.

Occasionally mistakes can occur during data entry.

If you believe a result is missing or incorrect, please email prestonsrobins@gmail.com with:

  • Athlete’s name
  • Age group
  • Date of competition
  • Event
  • Details of the issue

Our Results Team will investigate and reply as soon as possible.

Who do I contact if I have a ResultsHQ question?
