Every Friday night gives athletes the opportunity to improve their skills, achieve Personal Bests and earn points towards our end-of-season awards. Prestons Robins Little Athletics Centre recognises not only outstanding performances, but also commitment, attendance, sportsmanship and personal improvement throughout the season.
Trophy Eligibility
To be eligible for an end-of-season trophy, athletes must attend at least 50% of the scheduled Friday Night Competitions during the season.
If an athlete is unable to attend due to injury, illness or other exceptional circumstances, please notify your Age Manager, a Committee Member, or email prestonsrobins@gmail.com as soon as possible so the circumstances can be considered.
Age Group Awards
At the end of each season, awards are presented for every boys’ and girls’ age group.
Awards include:
- Age Champion
- Runner-Up Age Champion
- Third Place Age Champion
- Best in Event Awards
- Encouragement Award
- Participation Trophy
Tiny Tots receive a Participation Trophy and Certificate in recognition of their involvement throughout the season.
Point Score System
Points are awarded each Friday night based on both performance and attendance.

Where an event is conducted in multiple heats, or an age group is divided due to participant numbers, placings are determined by comparing performances across all heats.
Major Club Awards
In addition to age group trophies, Prestons Robins recognises outstanding athletes through several major annual awards.
Champion Awards
Champion trophies are presented to:
- Junior Boy Champion (6-8’s)
- Junior Girl Champion (6-8’s)
- Intermediate Boy Champion (9-12’s)
- Intermediate Girl Champion (9-12’s)
- Senior Boy Champion (13-17’s)
- Senior Girl Champion (13-17’s)
These awards are calculated using the Little Athletics NSW Multi-Event Point Score Tables, providing a consistent way to compare performances across different events and age groups.
Committee Awards
Several special awards recognise qualities that extend beyond athletic performance.
These include:
- Club Boy
- Club Girl
- Club Encouragement Award
- Club Most Improved
These awards are selected by the Committee and acknowledge athletes who demonstrate outstanding club spirit, sportsmanship, dedication, positive behaviour and significant improvement throughout the season.
Club Records
Club Records recognise exceptional performances achieved during Friday Night Competitions at Ash Road Sporting Complex.
To ensure every record is accurate and fairly recorded:
- All Club Records must be verified by a Committee Member.
- Field Event records must be witnessed and measured by a Committee Member before being recognised.
- Track Event records must be checked and signed by the Timekeeper before being confirmed.
Club Records celebrate the achievements of our athletes and preserve the proud history of Prestons Robins Little Athletics Centre.
